Radishes

Soil: Enjoys moist sandy stone free loam soil.
Planting Time: About 4 weeks before last frost date.
Spacing: About an inch apart.
Problems: Flea Beetles - Can be kept off by covering with row covers.; Cabbage Maggots - Can be kept off by covering with row covers.
Harvest: Can be harvested at almost any size. Just don't leave them in the ground too long or they will get woody and strong.
Pollination: Not Required.
Seed Information: 2000 seeds/ounce.
Watering: Radishes enjoy moist soil and frequent watering. A good layer of mulch will help maintain evenness in soil moisture.
Fertilizing: Avoid heavy Nitrogen fertilizers.
